George Vassos is a 1980 graduate of Queen's University Law School and has been practicing labour and employment law since his call in 1983. He also holds an Honours degree in Commerce (Queen's 1976) and a Masters degree in Industrial Relations (U of T 1981), and is a Certified Human Resources Professional (HRPAO 1982). He is a senior partner at Kuretzky Vassos Henderson, and is counsel on a number of reported and digested decisions.

His practice focuses on advocacy before trial and appellate Courts, and before the Ontario Labour Relations Board, labour arbitrators, mediators, adjudicators, and other administrative tribunals, as well as strategic and proactive advice on a wide variety of labour and employment law issues. His work includes employment contracts, wrongful dismissal, fiduciary duties, restrictive covenants, injunctions, employment standards, human rights, certification, collective bargaining, administration of collective agreements, grievances and arbitrations.

He has also been a speaker (and Chair) at numerous conferences for the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPAO), the Canadian Institute, and the Centre for Innovation Law and Policy, and has presented papers on a wide range of employment matters, including current developments in wrongful dismissal, injunctions, employment contracts, independent contractors, wrongful resignation and negligent misrepresentation in hiring.

His current volunteer work includes the Board of Directors for the Conference of Independent Schools and the HRPAO Appeals Committee. His past volunteer work includes coaching house league baseball, the Board of Directors for Canadian Macedonian Place, and various other committees at HRPAO (including the Discipline Committee).

His most notable claim to fame by far is his lovely wife Krystyna and their six wonderful children.
